What headcount does a buffet make sense for?
Generally from about 20 guests upward. Below that, individually packed meals are usually quicker to hand out. Most menus have a 10-guest minimum either way.
What serving setup is needed?
A table long enough for the trays, room for a line that does not cross the room, and someone to lay the food out. Two serving points instead of one roughly halves the queue at larger events.
Are staffing and chafing equipment included?
No. Staffing, setup, chafing equipment and rentals are quoted separately where they are required. Ask for them with your request rather than on the day.
How is buffet delivery handled?
Delivery is measured from Eastgate Square Mall in Hamilton: $25 within 10 km, $35 over 10 km and up to 20 km, and a custom quote beyond 20 km. Share the entrance, elevator or loading access, parking and the time food should be on the table.
How are dietary needs handled on a buffet?
Vegetarian and halal-tagged selections are ordered as their own trays so they are not mixed at the table, and allergy-related needs are confirmed with the caterer in advance. Labels describe intended ingredients and preparation, not a guarantee against cross-contact.
What does buffet catering cost?
